We were there for 3 nights, overall had a really amazing stay. The hotel was quiet and fabulous, really enjoyed garden view from our villa...

The location in a quite remote area was lovely and there were a little store and shops nearby. I ate at a particularly good restaurant which served lovely breakfast. A bathtub in the private bathroom was a plus.

The location was marvellous, at a short distance from Koh Mak Disc Golf Course. The bed was soft and the room overall was amazing:)))

I had a really enjoyable experience here, everything was perfect, the location was unbeatable near to the neighbouring island Koh Rayang-beautiful white sand, the most beautiful beach on the island, and the available restaurants around. The room was tastefully decorated and brand-new, with an electric kettle and a refrigerator. The pool was nice and I had carbonated drinks in the outdoor bar.

This hotel is a hidden gem on a nice beach, offering excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a view of the sea. I loved having my own private terrace to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The breakfast options were satisfying and made for a good start to the day.
No improvement needed, everything was just perfect.

My friend and I traveled during off season and were warmly greeted upon arrival. The staff was friendly and attentive, showing us to our spacious bungalow with a comfortable king size bed and a large bathroom/shower area. The resort is located on a quiet stretch of white sandy beach, perfect for lazy days of relaxation, biking, kayaking, and beach walks. The highlight of our stay was the friendly and energetic resort team who made our experience memorable.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Good food, lovely location and exceptionally friendly staff. This is an ideal location for those who want to get away from a busy lifestyle and just relax.
We came right at the end of the season and there were a lot of little annoyances such as lights that needed replacing which gave a slightly rundown air. I hope these get sorted out during the closed season.

This hotel is an absolute gem, tucked away in a remote and peaceful location. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I was impressed with the attention to detail throughout my stay, from the perfect logistics and overall organization to the brilliant idea of providing drinking water without the need for plastic bottles. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, complete with their own private terrace boasting breathtaking views of the sea. Plus, the hotel is right on a beautiful strip of beach, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun.
All was fantastic, nothing to complain about.

We went for 4 days and stayed for 9 ;-) There are so many reasons that Ao Kao is one of Thailands best kept secrets. One of these reasons stands out over all the rest. What is it? Ao Kao has big comfortable bungalows in the heart of nature overlooking the sea, but this is not the best reason. They have have beautiful white sand beaches that are great for swimming, but that's not the reason either. There is excellent food, an amazing DVD collection, a very interesting environmental beach project and the island feels very safe. Even though all these things already make the stay at Ao Kao worthwhile , it is how warm, fun and genuine the staff are that makes Ao Kao so memorable. Thank you.

The location is good comparing with most resorts in the north, although not the best. However, its low price, good service, and delicious food makes it's worth to our time in koh mak.
No wifi in the room, only in the restaurant. Some animals living in the wall.. I felt scared in the night.... No boat provided by the resort and have to rent from the one beside, and no chair on the beach.
